Central Florida Health

Central Florida Health has been receiving funding from the Universal Service Fund sine 2000.  With assistance from Rural Health Telecom, Central Florida Health Care in Avon Park, Florida, redesigned their frame relay network to strictly private line facilities.  The enhanced bandwidth has provided a higher level of security and quality of service.  Central Florida Health is qualified to receive fundsfrom the Federal Communications Commission Rural Health Care Fund to add telehealth capabilities enhancing its research labs, x-ray equipment, patient care and business services support.

Central Florida Health Care teams provide medical and dental care under the motto “Health Care with a Heart,” offering a “one-stop” shop for the myriad clinical needs of families and children in communities throughout the region.

RHT helped Central Florida Health Care prepare the necessary documents and develop the appropriate telecommunications network plan to qualify for funding under the U.S. Rural Health Care Program.
